  • Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) website: Visit the CFE website and register to access your account online. From there, you will be able to view and download your electric bills in digital format.
  • CFE offices: If you prefer to obtain your bills in person, you can visit a CFE office and request printed copies of your bills.

Structure of an electric bill

  • Nombre del titular de la cuenta
  • Número de servicio o contrato
  • Dirección de servicio

  • Consumo mensual, bimestral y anual en kilovatios (kW)
  • Desglose del consumo por periodo de facturación

  • Desglose de los costos por concepto (energía, cargo por servicio, impuestos, etc.)

  • Service number: Identification in CFE's data system that facilitates any procedure or clarification required by the user
  • User-Mobil Register: Used to identify each end user to his supplier, a code is assigned to speed up procedures and improve the quality of service to all CFE customers, since its purpose is mobility and traceability between suppliers, it is considered a personal data

  • Rate: Indicates the rate applied to the CFE user's service, the (domestic) rates are approved by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit or by the Energy Regulatory Commission (Comisión Reguladora de Energia)
  • Meter number: Code of letters and numbers that identifies the meter installed in your home or business
  • Multiplier: The result of the subtraction of the meter readings, usually multiplied by 1
  • Total to be paid: Amount to be covered by your bill

  • Billed Period: Include the start and end date of your CFE bill
  • Payment Deadline: The date you have to settle (pay) your CFE bill
  • Cut-off date: The date on which if you do not pay your CFE electricity bill, your service will be suspended
